2023 Ram 2500 In Canton, TX
2023 Ram 2500
The Ram 2500 is the heavy-duty pickup truck you want when you need to tow massive loads but still want a comfortable ride. For the 2023 model year, a new Rebel trim joins the lineup with a lifted suspension and off-road features. For the rest of the lineup, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster is now an available option, and a new Trailer Reverse Steering system is now available.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Ram 2500 Tradesman has 17-inch steel wheels, while a step up to the Big Horn adds 18-inch wheels and heated, power-folding side mirrors. The Laramie has a dampened tailgate and power-telescoping exterior mirrors. Choose the new Rebel for 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, and an off-road suspension, or the Power Wagon for 17-inch wheels, locking front and rear axles, and powder-coated front and rear bumpers. The Limited Longhorn is up next with rain-sensing windshield wipers, and then the Limited has 20-inch wheels, adjustable tie-down hooks in the bed, and the RamBox in-bed storage system.
Engine (Power)
The standard engine for the Ram 2500 is a 6.4-liter V-8 that puts out 410 horsepower. This engine works with an excellent eight-speed automatic transmission. The available 6.7-liter turbodiesel generates 370 horsepower, delivers an impressive 850 pound-feet of torque, and uses Ram's six-speed automatic transmission. The Tradesman, Big Horn, and Laramie come with rear-wheel drive and offer four-wheel drive as an option, and the rest of the trims come standard with four-wheel drive.
Performance
When equipped with rear-wheel drive and the turbodiesel engine, the Ram 2500 can tow up to 19,990 pounds. If you need to max out the hauling capability, the gas engine with the eight-foot bed and rear-wheel drive can handle up to 3,910 pounds. Want to head off-road? The Power Wagon or Rebel are the Rams you need. The Rebel has a sport performance hood, LED bed lighting, a bed step, and more for adventures off the beaten path.
Interior
There's room for up to six people in the Ram's larger cabs. The Tradesman has a front bench seat and vinyl upholstery, but just a couple steps up in the lineup to the Laramie gets you leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Technology features, depending on the trim, include an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa Built-In. The Limited comes with a 12-inch touchscreen and a 17-speaker Harman Kardon stereo. Wireless charging is optional for most trims, and you can also get the 12-inch touchscreen in the lower trims as an option.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Ram 2500 has a rearview camera, a full suite of air bags, and traction and stability control. The Safety Group Package is optional for any of the trim levels. This bundles advanced driver aids such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic braking, lane-departure warning with mitigation, and a blind-spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert. The Towing Technology Group package adds more safety features. It comes with a 360-degree surround-view camera system and a trailer reverse guidance system.
