The Dodge Charger draws its power from a
3.6-liter naturally-aspirated V6 engine that produces 292 horsepower and 260
pound-feet of torque when equipped with rear-wheel drive and 300 horsepower and
264 pound-feet of torque when equipped with all-wheel drive. The standard
transmission is an eight-speed automatic gearbox that delivers power to the
rear wheels.
Higher trim levels of the Charger come equipped
with a variety of V8 engines. These include a 5.7-liter V8 that produces 370
horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, a 6.4-liter V8 that produces 485
horsepower, and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces a whopping 707
horsepower.
