2023 Jeep Wrangler In Canton, TX
2023 Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is a legend. It's more capable than almost any other SUV for tackling off-road terrain, but it's a popular choice for daily driving. For the 2023 model year, the Wrangler has a new Freedom Edition model with a military theme in the lineup. Also, for 2023, the Rubicon has new 17-inch wheels, and there are two new paint colors. Here's a look at some of the details.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
You can get the Wrangler in the entry-level Sport trim with fog lights, tow hooks, and 17-inch steel wheels. The Sport S adds alloy wheels. From there, the Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, and Altitude add extra features. The new Freedom has a steel front bumper and rock rails or choose the Rubicon for off-road extras such as all-terrain tires, fender flares, and upgraded axles. The Sahara is up next with 18-inch wheels and a body-colored grille. There's also the Sahara Altitude, High Altitude, and Rubicon 392. The 392 has LED headlights, a 2-inch suspension lift, and Fox shocks.
Engine (Power)
Jeep offers the Wrangler with several engines. The base is a 3.6-liter V-6 with 285 horsepower, but you can opt for a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with 270 horsepower. A 3.0-liter turbo V-6 is also available. It delivers 260 horsepower. If you want more power, the 6.4-liter V-8 for the Rubicon 392 generates 470 horsepower. A plug-in hybrid version of the Wrangler called the 4xe uses a 375-horsepower hybrid powertrain.
Performance
The base engine works with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. The rest of the engines use automatic. Any of the engines provide the Wrangler with plenty of power, whether driving on the road or off. The Wrangler also has an impressive four-wheel drive system designed to make easy work of any off-road terrain, and the Rubicon adds Jeep's Rock-Trac four-wheel drive system designed to climb over rocks and boulders.
Interior
The Wrangler Sport has the basics in the cabin, but you'll get a leather-wrapped steering wheel in the Sport S, along with power windows and door locks. The higher-end models offer heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and automatic climate control.
Technology in the Wrangler, depending on the trim, includes the Uconnect 4C infotainment system with navigation, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a 9-speaker Alpine stereo system. All trims have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and if you step up to the Rubicon, it comes with a 115-volt power outlet. Additional tech features that Jeep makes available include satellite radio, HD radio, and a driver information display.
Safety Features
Every Wrangler comes with stability and traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview camera. If you're looking for advanced driver aids, the best place to find them is with the Rubicon 392. It comes with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and automatic braking, along with rear parking sensors. Depending on the trim, you can add the Advanced Safety Group with a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control.
