2023 Dodge Charger in Canton TX
2023 Dodge Charger
The Dodge Charger is a modern take on a classic muscle car. It has a sedan body style and a choice of engines, each one more powerful than the last. 2023 marks the last year of the gas-powered Charger as we know it, with hints of an electric version in the works. The 2023 Charger has commemorative plaques under the hood, and it will be available in some of the more popular colors from the past.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Charger is the SXT. It has 17-inch wheels and keyless entry. A step up to the GT adds LED fog lights, heated side exterior mirrors, a sport-tuned suspension, and a functional hood scoop. Choose the R/T for an active exhaust and unique 20-inch wheels or the Scat Pack for upgraded brakes. The Scat Pack Widebody has flared fenders, ultra-high-performance brakes, and high-performance tires. Take another step up to the SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak or the Redeye Jailbreak for unique color options and exterior features. Dodge also offers the Charger in special edition models such as the King Daytona, Super Bee, and Scat Pack Swinger.
Engine (Power)
The base engine for the Charger is a 3.6-liter V-6 that puts out 292 horsepower or 300 horsepower, depending on the trim. The R/T uses a 5.7-liter V-8 with 370 horsepower, and the Scat Pack gets a 6.4-liter V-8 that generates 485 horsepower. The Hellcat models get a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 gas engine with 717 horsepower, and the Redeye has a more powerful 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 under its hood that puts out 797 horsepower.
Performance
No matter which engine you have with your Charger, it has an abundance of power. The Scat Pack's V-8 will shoot from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and you can get there even faster with the Hellcat. All the Chargers provide a smooth and quiet ride, and it feels balanced and well-connected to the road when taking tight corners.
Interior
There's plenty of space to spread out in the Charger. The base SXT has power-adjustable front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Scat Pack adds aggressively bolstered front seats and a heated steering wheel. You'll get heated second-row seats and ventilated front seats in the Hellcat Widebody.
Technology in the Charger starts with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, and voice controls. The GT upgrades to an 8.4-inch touchscreen with the Uconnect 4C infotainment system and adds a six-speaker Alpine stereo. Dodge offers a nine-speaker and 19-speaker stereo as an upgrade, depending on the trim and package.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Dodge Charger has a rearview camera, electronic stability and traction control, and a tire pressure monitor. The optional Technology Group adds full-speed forward collision warning, emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. This group also comes with adaptive cruise control and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The Plus Group is another optional package, and it comes with a blind-spot monitor. Stepping up to any of the Hellcat models will make the blind-spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alert standard features.
